Which statement regarding the following structures are true?

Which statement regarding the following structures are true?
  1. $A$ and $B$ are diastereomers, $C$ and $D$ are enantiomers
  2. $A$ and $B$ are enantiomers, $C$ and $D$ are enantiomers
  3. $A$ and $B$ are enantiomers, $C$ and $D$ are diastereomers
  4. $A$ and $B$ are diastereomers, $C$ and $D$ are diastereomers

Solution

Because of absence of stereocentre in $C$ and $D$ these are diastereomers.
$A$ and $B$ are mirror image of each other, hence are enantiomers.
