Which reaction is not valid

Which reaction is not valid
  1. $H C l+F_{2} ightarrow H F+C l_{2}$
  2. $H F+C l_{2} ightarrow F_{2}+H C l$
  3. $\mathrm{Zn}+\mathrm{HCl} ightarrow \mathrm{ZnCl}_{2}+\mathrm{H}_{2}$
  4. $\mathrm{Al}+\mathrm{HCl} ightarrow \mathrm{AlCl}_{3}+\mathrm{H}_{2}$

Solution

Fluorine is more electronegative than chlorine hence, it can displace $\mathrm{Cl}$ from $\mathrm{HCl}$ while chlorine cannot displace fluorine from HF. Therefore the following reaction is not valid.
$$
\mathrm{HF}+\mathrm{Cl}_{2} ightarrow \mathrm{F}_{2}+\mathrm{HCl}
$$ *
