Monosaccharides : A carbohydrate that cannot be hydrolysed further to give simpler unit of polyhydroxy aldehyde or ketone is called a monosaccharides.
Example:- Glucose, Fructose, ribose
Disaccharides: The sugar formed when less two monosaccharides and joined by glycosidic linkage.
Example :- Sucrose, lactose, maltose.
