Which one of the following alkenes when treated with HCl yields majorly an anti Markovnikov product?

Solution

Markovnikov’s product is formed when a stable carbocation is formed on the more substituted carbon.

In CF3-CH=CH2, the carbocation formed will be destabilized by strong -I group of CF3. Hence, the Anti-Markovnikov’s product will be formed.
