Zinc finger analysis does not contribute to DNA fingerprinting. PCR is an automated procedure that generates lots of copies of a specific sequence of DNA, important in DNA fingerprinting. Restriction enzymes are used in cutting DNA samples and analyzing the resulting DNA fragments by DNA fingerprinting indicates which DNA samples have similar restriction sequences. DNA hybridization- DNA fingerprinting, hypervariable and repetitive sequences are detected with hybridization probes.
