Hyper conjugation :-
When a sigma bond of hybridised carbon is in conjugation with bond at orbital, half filled orbital or vacant orbital, then the bond pair of sigma bond overlap with adjacent orbital. This phenomena is called hyperconjugation. Like resonance hyperconjugation is also a stabilising effect but the effect of resonance is more dominating than hyperconjugation, since in resonance only orbital overlap while in hyperconjugation molecule orbitals overlap with molecule orbital. * Hyperconjugation is also called no bond resonance.
Hence, the hyperconjugation tells about the stability of free radical, carbocation and alkenes because they have the vacant orbitals and alkene has the bond.
Hence, the stability order of carbanions is not explained by hyperconjugation.
