Which of the following correctly represents the variation of electric potential (V) of a charged spherical conductor of radius (R) with radial distance (r) from the centre?

Solution

As electric field inside the charged conducting sphere is zero, therefore potential will be constant for the inside part.

For outside part, electric potential decreases as V=kqr and the conducting sphere behaves like a point charge concentrated at the centre.
