Solution

For any compound to exhibit cis-trans isomerism, it must contain identical atoms or groups of atoms on either side of double bond. Hence, but-1-ene $\mathrm{CH}_3-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{CH}=\mathrm{CH}_2$ will not exhibit cis-trans isomerism.
