Which among the following is NOT a pair of isomers?

Which among the following is NOT a pair of isomers?
  1. Butan-2-ol and 2-Methylpropanol
  2. Butan-1-ol and 1-Methoxypropane
  3. 1-Methoxypropane and Ethoxyethane
  4. Methoxyethane and Ethoxyethane

Solution

Isomers have same molecular formula but different arrangement of atoms. $\mathrm{H}_3 \mathrm{C}-\mathrm{O}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{CH}_3$
Methoxyethane $\left(\mathrm{C}_3 \mathrm{H}_8 \mathrm{O}\right)$ $\mathrm{H}_3 \mathrm{C}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{O}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{CH}_3$
Ethoxyethane $\left(\mathrm{C}_4 \mathrm{H}_{10} \mathrm{O}\right)$
Methoxyethane and Ethoxyethane have different molecular formulae and hence, they are not isomers.
