Which among following is true for the value of Henry's law constant K?

Which among following is true for the value of Henry's law constant K?
  1. is greater for gases with higher solubilities
  2. first increases and then decreases with increase in temperature
  3. increases with increase in temperature
  4. is same for all gases

Solution

According to Henry's law, solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to pressure of gas. PaX $\mathrm{P}=\mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}} \mathrm{X}$ P = Partial pressure of gas $\mathrm{X}=$ solubility of gas in liquid $\mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}}=$ Henry's constant $\mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}}$ depends only on nature of gas, nature of liquid and temperature ( T ). As temperature increases, ' $\mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}}$ ' increases and ' X ' decreases.
