When mixing \(\mathrm{AgCl}\) and \(\mathrm{CaCl}_2\), each added ion of \(\mathrm{Ca}^{2+}\) replaces \(\mathrm{Ag}^{+}\)as they have similar radii. Since, the charge of \(\mathrm{Ca}\) and \(\mathrm{Ag}\) is of +2 and +1 +1 respectively, it leads to the formation of positive vacancies (Schottky defect). It means that one mole of \(\mathrm{CaCl}_2\) provides one mole of \(\mathrm{Ag}\) vacancies in crystal structure. Hence, the correct option is (b).
