For instance, \(\underset{\text{1, 2-dibromo ethane}}{\mathrm{Br}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{Br}} \xrightarrow[\Delta]{\text { Sodamide }} \stackrel{\mathrm{sp}}{\mathrm{CH}} \equiv \underset{\text{acetylene}}{\stackrel{\mathrm{sp}}{\mathrm{CH}}}\) Hence, product has both sp-hybridised carbon.
