Let M is the molar mass of the compound g/mol
mass of compound =mole × molecular mass = 0.01M g

mass of carbon =0.01M×60100 ....(i)

moles of carbon =mass of compoundmolecular mass of carbon = 0.01M12×60100  ....(ii)

Thus, moles of CO2 from combustion =4.444=0.1 moles of carbon dioxide

Using POAC,
Thus, from (i) and (ii),
0.01M12×60100=4.444

M=4.444×10060×120.01=200 g/mol
