What is the value of slope in Freundlich adsorption isotherm $\log \frac{\mathrm{x}}{\mathrm{m}}$ against $\log \mathrm{C}$ ?
  1. $\frac{1}{\mathrm{n}}$
  2. n
  3. K
  4. $\quad \log \mathrm{K}$

Solution

According to Freundlich's adsorption isotherm $\log \frac{x}{m}=\log k+\frac{1}{n} \log C$
On plotting a graph of $\log \frac{\mathrm{X}}{\mathrm{m}}$ against $\log \mathrm{C}$, a straight line is obtained. The slope of the straight line is $\frac{1}{n}$.
