Two flasks A and B have equal volumes. A is maintained at 300 K and B at 600 K. Equal masses of H2 and CO2 are taken in flasks A and B respectively. Find the ratio of total K.E of gases in flask A to that of B.

We know that the average kinetic energy depends on the temperature and number of moles. 

Now,  K.E. expression for flasks A and B is given below:

K.E.A=3nART A2

K.E.B=3nBRTB2
Assume common mass=m
nA=m/2nB=m/44

K.E.AK.E.B=nATAnBTB=m/2×300m/44×600=11:1
