Three layers of liquid are flowing over fixed solid surface as shown below. The correct order of velocity of liquid in these layers is
  1. $V_1 \gt V_2 \gt V_3$
  2. $V_1=V_2=V_3$
  3. $V_3 \gt V_2 \gt V_1$
  4. $V_3 \gt V_1 \gt V_2$

Solution

Layer 1 is near to the solid surface so its interaction will be more with the surface which tends to decrease it velocity. While the velocity of other layer increases with distance from the fixed layer. $\therefore$ Order will be $\mathrm{V}_3 \gt \mathrm{V}_2 \gt \mathrm{V}_1$
