The sum of the distinct real values of μ for which the vectors μi^+j^+k^, i^+μj^+k^, i^+j^+μk^ are co-planar, is

Solution

Given the three vectors are coplanar.

Hence, μ111μ111μ=0

μμ2-1-1μ-1+11-μ=0

μμ-1μ+1-2μ-1=0 a2-b2=a-ba+b

μ1μ μ+12=0

μ1μ2+μ+2=0

μ1μ-1μ+2=0

μ=1, 1, -2

Therefore, the sum of the distinct real values of μ=-2+1=-1.
