The resistivity of a 0.8M solution of an electrolyte is 5×10-3Ωcm. Its molar conductivity is 104Ω-1 cm2 mol-1. (Nearest integer)

Solution

Given,
Resistivity (ρ)=5×10-3Ωcm

Molarity (M)=0.8M

Thus, Molar conductivity of electrolyte λM=1ρ×1000M

=15×10-3×10000.8

=0.25×106

=25×104 cm2 mol-1.
