The relation between time ‘t’ and distance ‘x’ is t=αx2+βx, where α and β are constants. The relation between acceleration a and velocity v is:
  1. a=-2αv3
  2. a=-5αv5
  3. a=-3αv2
  4. a=-4αv4

Solution

Given: t=αx2+βx

Differentiating w.r.t time, we get

dtdx=2αx+β

1v=2αx+β

Differentiating w.r.t time again, we get

-1v2dvdt=2αdxdt

dvdt=-2αv3as v=dxdta=dvdt=-2αv3
