Let the origin be shifted at h,k

Let x',y' be the new co-ordinate

 x=x'+h  & y=y'+k

 Given equation is

9x2+4y2+10x+12y+1=0

Put x=x'+h &   y=y'+k

 9x'+h2+4y'+k2+10x'+h+12y'+k+1=0

9x'2+9h2+18x'h+4y'2+4k2+8y'k+10x'+10h+12y'+12k+1=0

 9x'2+4y'2+x'18h+10+y'8k+12+9h2+4k2+10h+12k+1=0

So, to eliminate x' & y', put

18h+10=0 & 8k+12=0

h=-59 & k=-32

 Origin should be shifted at -59,-32
