The one giving maximum number of isomeric alkenes on dehydrohalogenation reaction is (excluding rearrangement)
  1. 1-Bromo-2-methylbutane
  2. 2-Bromopropane
  3. 2-Bromopentane
  4. 2-Bromo-3, 3-dimethylpentane

Solution

In dehydrohalogenation reactions, the preferred product is that alkene which has the greater number of alkyl groups attached to the doubly bonded carbon atoms. Thus, 2-bromopentane gives pent-2-ene as the major product.

Rest all bromides are having only one type of beta hydrogen, hence, only one possible alkene is formed.
