The number of values of k for which the system of linear equations k+2x+10y=k & kx+k+3y=k-1 has no solution is

Solution

For no solution

k+2k=10k+3=kk-1

⇒k+2k+3=10k

⇒k2-5k+6=0⇒k=2, 3

k≠2 for k=2 both lines are identical.

So, only k=3 is possible.

So the number of values of k is 1.
