The number of solutions of the equation log4x-1=log2x-3 is ______.

Solution

log4x-1=log2x-3

12log2x-1=log2x-3

log2x-11/2=log2x-3

x-11/2=x-3

x-1=x2+9-6x

x2-7x+10=0

x-2x-5=0

x=2,5

But x2 because it is not satisfying the domain of given equation i.e log2x-3 its domain x>3 finally x is 5

No. of solutions =1.
