Number of spherical/radial nodes in any orbital $ =n-I-1 $ For $s=$ orbitals, $I=0$. $\therefore$ Number of radial nodes in 3s-orbital $ =3-0-1=2 $ For $p$ - orbitals, $I=1$ $\therefore \quad$ Number of radial nodes in $2 p$-orbitals $ =2-1-1=0 $
