The maximum number of electrons present in an orbital with n = 4 , l = 3 is
Solution
There are four types of orbitals which present in atoms namely The orbitals are having their quantum number which represent the maximum number of electrons and their orientation, spin of the electrons. The given values represents the principal and azimuthal quantum number values of subshell which has seven orbitals. In every orbital, maximum number of electrons can be fitted is , one with clockwise and another with anti-clockwise spin rotation. Thus, there are two electrons can be present in the given orbital.
