Solution
Interstitial cells or cells of Leydig are present in the connective tissue lying in between seminiferous tubules. These cells secrete oestradiol-steroid androgens, e.g., testosterone. Androgens stimulate male characters, influence male sex and behaviour (libido) and regulate the development, maturation and functions of male accessory sex organs.
