Solution

Equation of chord with given middle point is given by,

T=S1

x25+y40=125+1100

8x+5y200=8+2200

y=10-8x5   ..i

x225+(10-8x)2400=1

16x2+100+64x2-160x400=1

4x2-8x-15=0

x=8±3048

x1=8+3048; x2=8-3048

Similarly, y=10-8±3045=2±3045

y1=2-3045;y2=2+3045

Distance =x1-x22+y1-y22

=4×30464+4×30425

=16915
