The graph shows the variation of voltage ' V ' across the plates of two capacitors $A$ and $B$ versus increase in charge ' $Q$ ' stored in them. Then
  1. capacitance A has high capacity.
  2. capacitance B has high capacity.
  3. both have same capacity.
  4. capacity of $\mathrm{A}=2$ times capacity of B .

Solution

$\mathrm{Q}=\mathrm{CV}$
Comparing it with $\mathrm{y}=\mathrm{mx}$, $\therefore \quad \frac{\mathrm{Q}}{\mathrm{~V}}=\mathrm{C}=\frac{1}{\text { slope of line }}$
As slope of A is smaller than B, the capacitance of A is greater than B .
