The equation of current in a purely inductive circuit is 5sin49πt-30°. If the inductance is 30mH then the equation for the voltage across the inductor, will be
  1. 1.47sin49πt-30°
  2. 1.47sin49πt+60°
  3. 23.1sin49πt-30°
  4. 23.1sin49πt+60°

Solution

In inductive circuit, the voltage leads the current by 90°. Therefore,

ϕ0V-ϕ0I=90°ϕ0V=60°

From the given equation 5sin49πt-30°, angular frequency ω=49π rad s-1

The amplitude of the voltage across the inductor will be,

V0=i0XL

V0=i0ωL

V0=549π30×10-3=23.1

V=23.1sin49πt+60°
