Solution

We know that, in pure inductive circuit, Alternating voltage, $V=V_0 \sin \omega t$ and alternating current, $I=I_0 \sin (\omega t-\pi / 2)$ From the above two equations, it can be seen that alternative current and EMF differ by $\frac{\pi}{2}$ phase.
