The correct zwitter ion structure of glycine is

The correct zwitter ion structure of glycine is
  1. $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{~N}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{COOH}$
  2. $\mathrm{H}_3 \stackrel{+}{\mathrm{N}}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{COO}^{-}$
  3. $\mathrm{H}_3 \stackrel{+}{\mathrm{N}}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{COOH}$
  4. $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{~N}-\mathrm{CH}_2-\mathrm{COO}^{-}$

Solution

Glycine exists as $\mathbf{N H 3 + C H 2 C O O -}$, zwitter ion but anthranilic acid (p-amino benzoic acid) does not exist as zwitter ion.
