The correct order for acid strength of compounds CH ≡ CH ,   CH 3 - C ≡ CH and CH 2 = CH 2…

The correct order for acid strength of compounds CHCH,CH3-CCH and CH2=CH2 is as follows:
  1. CH3-CCH>CHCH>CH2=CH2
  2. HCCH>CH3-CCH>CH2=CH2
  3. CHCH>CH2=CH2>CH3-CCH
  4. CH2-CCH>CH2=CH2>HCCH

Solution

Because acidic character stability of conjugate base (Anion)

(a) CH=Canion(ve  on Csp)

(b) CH3CC(ve  on Csp and +I of CH3)

(c) CH2=CH(ve on Csp2)

Acidic character order CHCCsp>CH3CCCspwith+I  of CH3>CH2=CCsp2
