The anodic half-cell of lead-acid battery is recharged using electricity of 0.05 Faraday. The amount of PbSO4  electrolyzed in g during the process is: (Molar mass of PbSO4=303g mol-1)
  1. 22.8
  2. 15.2
  3. 11.4
  4. 7.6

Solution

Charge of one mole of e-=1 faraday

Pb(s)+SO4-2PbSO4+2e-

If 2F charge is passed then amount of PbSO4gm  deposited =303 g

So if 0.05 F faraday current passed then PbSO4 deposited  =3032×.05

=7.575

7.6 g
