In a rectangular component of a vector, the two vectors are perpendicular to each other. 

Given, that resultant of both perpendicular force is, $40 \mathrm{N},$and if we assume that $20\sqrt{3}$is the horizontal component of force making an angle $\theta$with resultant force then,

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 40\cos \theta =20\sqrt{3} \\ \Rightarrow \cos \theta =\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2} \\ \Rightarrow \theta =30° \end{gathered}$$
