On celcius scale the temperature of body increases by $40^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$. The increase in temperature on Fahrenheit scale is :
$68^{\circ} \mathrm{F}$
$75^{\circ} \mathrm{F}$
$72^{\circ} \mathrm{F}$
$70^{\circ} \mathrm{F}$
Solution
We know that per ${ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ change is equivalent to $1.8^{\circ}$ change in ${ }^{\circ} \mathrm{F}$.
$\therefore 40^{\circ}$ change on celcius scale will corresponds to $72^{\circ}$ change on Fahrenheit scale.
Hence option (3)
