Solution

Let $\mathrm{p}$ : Payment will be made $q$ : Work is finished in time. Given statement is $(p \rightarrow q) \wedge(q \rightarrow p)$ Negation of above statement is $(p \wedge \sim q) \vee(q \wedge \sim p)$ $\therefore$Option (D) is correct.
