Multiplicative inverse of the complex number sinθ,cosθ is

Solution

We have,

z=sinθ+icosθ

Multiplicative inverse of z is 1z. Now,

1z=1sinθ+icosθ

1z=1sinθ+icosθ×sinθ-icosθsinθ-icosθ

1z=sinθ-icosθsin2θ+cos2θ

1z=sinθ-icosθ

sin2θ+cos2θ=1

Hence, multiplicative inverse of sinθ,cosθ is sinθ,-cosθ.
