Motion of a particle in x-y plane is described by a set of following equations x=4sinπ2-ωt m and y=4sinωt m. The path of the particle will be

Solution

x=4sinπ2-ωt=4cosωt,

y=4sinωt

Clearly,   x2+y2=4cosωt2+4sinωt2x2+y2=16

Hence, the path covered by particle is a circle.
