Relation between the ratio of specific heat and degree of freedom is given by,

γ=1+2f  ...(1)

For monoatomic molecule, Af=3

 γ=1+23=53

For diatomic rigid molecule Bf=5

 γ=1+25=75

For diatomic non-rigid molecule Cf=7 γ=1+27=97

For Triatomic rigid molecule Df=6 γ=1+26=43
