Mass numbers of two nuclei are in the ratio of 4:3. Their nuclear densities will be in the ratio of
  1. 4:3
  2. 3413
  3. 1:1
  4. 4313

Solution

Radius of nucleus R=R0 A13

Density of nucleus ρ= Mass of nucleus  volume of nucleus

ρ=m×A43πR3  Where m: mass of proton or neutron and A: mass number.

ρ=m×A43πR0 3A

ρA0

Hence, density of nucleus is independent of mass number.

Therefore, the ratio is 1:1.
