Let the ratio of the fifth term from the beginning to the fifth term from the end in the binomial expansion of 24+134n, in the increasing powers of 134 be 64:1. If the sixth term from the beginning is α34, then α is equal to _______.

Solution

Given,

The ratio of the fifth term from the beginning to the fifth term from the end in the binomial expansion of 24+134n in the increasing powers of 134 be 64:1

Now according to given data we have,

T5Tn-3=C4n21/4n-43-1/44Cn-4n21/443-1/4n-4=641

2n-843n-84=61/4

6n-8=6

n-8=1n=9

So, T6=C5921/443-1/45=8434

Now comparing with T6=α34,

We get α=84
