Let the curve y=yx be the solution of the differential equation, dydx=2x+1. If the numerical value of area bounded by the curve y=yx and x-axis is 483, then the value of y1 is equal to ________.

Solution

dydx=2x+1

dy=2x+1dx

yx=x2+2x+C

Area =483

2-1-1+1-C-x+12-C+1dx=483

2-x+133-Cx+x-1-1+1-C=483

-1-C3+3C-3C1-C-3C-3+31-C+3=28

C=-1

fx=x2+2x-1, f1=2
