Solution

Given  S n = Σ k = 1 4 n - 1 k k + 1 2 k 2
= - 1 2 - 2 2 + 3 2 + 4 2 - 5 2 - 6 2 + 7 2 + 8 2 + ............
= 3 2 - 1 + 4 2 - 2 2 + 7 2 - 5 2 + 8 2 - 6 2 ............
=21+3+2+4+...+4n
=24n4n+12=4n4n+1

Sn=1056 is true for n=8

Sn=1332 is true  for n=9
