Given,

7cos2θ-3sin2θ-2cos22θ=2

7cos2θ-31-cos2θ-2cos22θ=2

4cos2θ+3cos2θ-2cos22θ=2

21+cos2θ+3cos2θ-2cos22θ=2

2cos22θ-5cos2θ=0

cos2θ2cos2θ-5=0

cos2θ=0 or 2cos2θ-5=0 which is not possible

2θ=2n+1π2

θ=2n+1π4

S=π4,3π4,5π4,7π4

For all four values of θtan2θ & cot2θ will become 1 and sin2θ will become 12

So, x2-2tan2θ+cot2θx+6sin2θ=0

x2-4x+3=0

Sum of roots of all four equations =4×4=16.
