$= (\mathbf{a} \cdot \mathbf{b}) (\mathbf{a} \times \mathbf{a}) - (\mathbf{a} \cdot \mathbf{a}) (\mathbf{a} \times \mathbf{b})$
$= (\mathbf{a} \cdot \mathbf{a}) (\mathbf{b} \times \mathbf{a}) \quad (\because \mathbf{a} \times \mathbf{a} = 0)$
