In the working of photodiode, the reverse current depends on

Solution

The reverse current in a photodiode depends significantly on the concentration of minority carriers (electrons in the p-region and holes in the $n$-region). When light strikes the photodiode, it generates electron-hole pairs, and these minority carriers contribute to the reverse current when they are swept across the junction by the electric field.
