In the given circuit, an ideal voltmeter connected across the 10 Ω resistance reads  2 V . The internal resistance  r , of each cell is:

  2. 1.5 Ω

Solution

Current through battery =210+215=6+430=13 A
Also, net resistance Req=15×1015+10+2+2r
=8+2r
13=1.5+1.58+2r
8+2r=9
r=12=0.5Ω
