In the chemical reaction, 2A + B C + D. Find the INCORRECT statement.
  1. Rate of disappearance of B= rate of appearance of C= rate of appearance of D.
  2. 12 rate of disappearance of A= ate of appearance of C or D.
  3. Twice the rate of disappearance of A= rate of disappearance of B.
  4. Rate of disappearance of A= twice the rate of appearance of C.

Solution

2A +B C +D
Rate  = -12d[A]dt= -d[B]dt= d[C]dt = d[D]dt
So, the  rate of dissappearence or decrement  of A is just half of B . 
Because two moles of A & one mole of B are participates in chemical reaction.
Negative sign represents the dissappearence or decrement in the concentration of reactants with time,
whereas positive sign of product shows the increment in the concentration of product with time.
