In a circuit the current falls from 14 A to 4 A in a time 0.2 ms . If the induced emf is 150 V . then the self inductance of the circuit is
- 6 H
- 6 mH
- 3 mH
- 3 H
Solution
$\Delta \mathrm{I}=14-4=10 \mathrm{~A}, \Delta \mathrm{t}=0.2 \mathrm{~ms}, \mathrm{e}=150 \mathrm{~V}$
$\begin{aligned} & \therefore \mathrm{e}=\mathrm{L} \cdot \frac{\Delta \mathrm{I}}{\Delta \mathrm{t}} \Rightarrow 150=\mathrm{L} \cdot \frac{10}{0.2 \times 10^{-3}} \\ & \therefore \mathrm{~L}=3 \mathrm{mH}\end{aligned}$
