Given,

u+iv=3ix+iy+2

u-iv=-3ix+2-iy

u+iv×u-iv=3ix+2+iy-3ix+2-iy

u2+v2=9x+22+y2

x+22+y2=9u2+v2   ...i

Now, 

u+iv=3ix+iy+2

            =3ix+iy+2×x+2-iyx+2-iy

             =3y+ix+2x+22+y2

              =3yx+22+y2+ix+2x+22+y2

Comparing real and imaginary part, we get

u=3yx+22+y2   ...ii

By i & ii, we get

y=3uu2+v2.
